When GenAI hits the shopping basket

Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) is currently a trending topic, fueled by the rapid adoption and popularity of ChatGPT. This surge in interest has ignited discussions about its potential disruption in various industries, including retail, education, healthcare, financial services, and more.

In its simplest form, GenAI comprises algorithms capable of creating new and realistic content — whether in the form of text, images, or audio. Unlike Predictive AI, which adheres to predefined rules for specific tasks and is confined to its programmed rules and discriminative models, Generative AI exhibits adaptability, enabling it to handle novel scenarios effectively.
